Application of electrical tomography technique for landside investigation: Case of the Kef Essenoun phosphate deposit, Djebel Onk (Northeastern Algeria)

The enormous development of the technology raw material extraction drives economic companies and technicians to make efforts meet needs consumers. These directly influence nature, creating voids or cavities in soil subsoil inducing a structure disturbance subsequently giving damages. A landslide Kef Essenoun phosphate deposit occurred 2007 when large mass rocks detached caused number undesired negative effects. To analyze this deformation, two-dimensional (2D) electrical tomography with Wenner Schlumberger device was deployed, using equipment Syscal Pro 48 type for implementation an profile, through transect length 140 m electrode spacing 3m depth investigation that measures 32 center. Data processing carried out RES2DINV software results allowed map visible cracks high resistivity value 890 Ωm as well low values 6 marls clays. In addition, phenomena have been evidenced due tectonic (rough terrain) on one side sliding other.
